Lisa Lillien of "Hungry Girl" Fame, The Newest Queen of Lean Cuisine

Lisa Lillien of "Hungry Girl" fame, and the new queen of lean cuisine, is quickly becoming a household name for her tasty alternative recipes for a healthful eating lifestyle. In 2004 she sent her first e-mail out to friends filled with simple low calorie, low fat tricks she used to create delicious meals and snacks to satisfy fattening food cravings. Now, her new "Hungry Girl" TV series airs Saturdays at 4:00 P.M. on the Cooking Channel.
So Lisa has gone from sharing e-mails to her own cooking show, but it did not happen overnight, and it did not happen easily. She had to go from cooking comfortably at home, to having to learn how to present herself on TV. It's hard on TV, you have to be entertaining and look up and smile, and I never had to be bothered with that in my own home. When asked why her recipes appeal to so many people, Lisa said, "my passion for food is apparent. I also have really good taste buds. I know when I taste something that 80 percent of the population will love it. Having a relatable, realistic voice also helps." Lisa thinks that having options that are satisfying are the most important part of a realistic long term eating style. She avoids the word diet.
The things that weight conscious individuals should keep around are a slew of vegetables and fruit, like butternut squash, Japanese kabocha (a winter squash), she loves sugar snap peas, and Fuji apples. In place of whole milk she uses unsweetened vanilla almond milk for everything, including cereal, oatmeal, and coffee because it is very low in calories.
Owner of the extremely popular Hungry Girl franchise, which revolves around a vibrant cartoon character that is an almost identical image of her, is what makes having her own show quite different from other television shows that she has appeared on such as "The View" and "The Rachael Ray Show," but what has helped make her the newest queen of lean cuisine.
Amendment of Inaccurate information about Lisa Lillien of "Hungry Girl" fame
Please allow me to inform all my loyal readers that in a previous article about Ms. Lillien, I had mistakenly and erroneously reported that Ms. Lisa Lillien of "Hungry Girl" fame, had been homeless.
Ms. Lillien through a firm that represents her interests graciously informed me of this egregious error, and asked me kindly to inform my readers of this unintended mistake.
In my research into her story I came across a story out of Birmingham, Alabama about a young man that had entered an essay contest and had been recognized by the writer of a novel, Sharon G. Flake, entitled "Money Hungry," that came up during my search, and in it's context appeared to be attributed to Ms. Lillien of "Hungry Girl," obviously about a young woman and her mother's struggles as they faced a return to the streets.
I am more than happy to make amends to Ms. Lillien, the firm that represents her, all of her fans and loyal followers, and of course to the entire SearchWarp staff and community for unintentionally reporting misleading and inaccurate information, and to remind everyone that Ms. Lillien is the "new queen of lean," despite my inaccurate information. My sincerest apologies to all, and I hope that everybody concerned with this matter can find it in their hearts to forgive me of these shortcomings.
